C’est une reconstitution librement inspirée d’une fontaine rencontrée dans les jardins de la résidence d’été des Habsbourg. Il s’agit de la fontaine de La ruine de Carthage. Elle fait allusion à la victoire de Rome sur Carthage. Sont représentés dans la scène Hercule combattant le chien Cerbère et l’Hydre de Lerne. On y trouve différents éléments qui font échos aux récits mythologiques présents sur la fontaine.

It's a reconstruction freely inspired of a fountain found in the gardens of the Habsburg summer residence.
Habsburg summer residence. It is the fountain from The Ruin of Carthage. It alludes to Rome's victory over Carthage. The scene depicts Hercules fighting the dog Cerberus and the Hydra of Lerna. Various elements echo the mythological stories depicted on the
fountain.
